01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Add melted butter and mix well.
03 - Whisk in eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
04 - Sprinkle flour, baking soda, and salt over wet ingredients. Gently fold with a spatula until just combined.
05 - Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
06 - Pour batter into prepared pan. Smooth top. Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
07 - Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
08 - Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
