Soft fluffy rolls swirled with cinnamon, brown sugar, and rainbow sprinkles, topped with vanilla glaze.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dough

01 - 3½ cups all-purpose flour
02 - ¼ cup granulated sugar
03 - 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
04 - ½ teaspoon salt
05 - ¾ cup warm milk (110°F)
06 - ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
07 - 2 large eggs, room temperature

→ Sprinkle Cinnamon Filling

08 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
09 - ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
10 - 1½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
11 - ⅓ cup rainbow sprinkles

→ Vanilla Glaze

12 - 1½ cups powdered sugar
13 - 2–3 tablespoons milk
14 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
15 - Extra rainbow sprinkles for topping

# How to Make It:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, active dry yeast, and salt until evenly distributed.
02 - Pour in the warm milk, melted butter, and room-temperature eggs. Mix using a dough hook attachment or wooden spoon until a cohesive, slightly sticky dough comes together.
03 - Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Transfer to a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel or plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
04 - Gently punch down the risen dough. On a floured work surface, roll it out into a 16×12-inch rectangle.
05 - Spread the softened butter evenly across the dough surface. Sprinkle the packed brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and rainbow sprinkles in an even layer over the butter.
06 - Starting from the long side, roll the dough up tightly into a log. Using a sharp knife or unflavored dental floss, slice into 12 equal portions. Arrange the rolls cut-side up in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
07 - Cover the dish and let the rolls rise for 30 minutes until puffy. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350°F.
08 - Bake the rolls for 22–25 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the centers are cooked through.
09 - While the rolls are still warm, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until a thick, pourable glaze forms. Drizzle generously over the rolls and finish with extra rainbow sprinkles. Serve warm.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The sprinkles melt into the filling and create these gorgeous little pockets of color that surprise everyone who takes a bite.
  • They taste like cinnamon rolls and birthday cake had a baby, which is basically the best combination I have ever stumbled into at seven in the morning.
02 -
  • Nonpareil sprinkles will bleed into the filling and turn it a murky brownish pink, so stick with the long cylindrical jimmies for the brightest color payoff.
  • If the dough seems impossibly sticky after kneading for five minutes, resist the urge to dump in more flour because a slightly wet dough produces softer rolls.
03 -
  • Dental floss makes the cleanest cuts through the roll log without squishing the spirals flat the way a knife can, just slide the floss under the log, cross the ends over the top, and pull.
  • Let the rolls cool for just five minutes before glazing so the warmth melts the sugar slightly but does not cause it all to run off into the bottom of the pan.
